BIOGRAPHY

Dale Kern is a watercolour artist working from her home studio in Port Colborne, Ontario Canada.  While raising her family she enjoyed many hands-on creative activities and when she later attended Sheridan College to study Interior Design she was instructed in drawing and watercolour.  She was so captivated by the luminosity of that medium that she sought out the masters of watercolour such as J M W Turner, Winslow Homer and John Singer Sargeant in art books, galleries and museums.

In 2018 Dale began to draw and paint daily and took many online classes and workshops with contemporary masters of watercolour.  She enjoys painting landscapes, cityscapes, birds and flowers and is well known in her community for house portraits in her realistic style.  Dale’s work may be found in collections in Canada, the US, the UK and many other countries.

Dale is a member of “Women in Watercolor “ and an associate member of The Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour.
